Roast Lamb – Thermomix

People have talked about it, recommended it, and I’ve surfed right on past it, thinking – no way – a roast in the Thermomix? With my new addiction (being.. cooking!) – of course I had to try it!

WOW!!!

I did make a few changes.  Browned the roast off first in a pan.

I didn’t do the potatoes in the Thermomix either – as I wanted them crispy.  In hindsight, I could have still parboiled them (steamed) in the TMX – instead I parboiled in a saucepan, then shook the spuds up with the lid on, till they fluffed around the edges, added a little oil, shook it up some more, and placed them in the oven to crisp up.  That’s a tip I learned from Jamie Oliver – and have never done my baked potatoes any other way since! I added carrots and the beans, and could have added more but was in lazy mode – keep it simple!

The result was amazing! The meat was succulant and ever so tasty.  My 2nd born doesn’t like lamb much, but he literally inhaled this!

With the gravy, I strained it so it was smooth.

This is something you should definitely have a go at – especially if you are a skeptic like me! You’ll be very pleasantly surprised!

Thank you Thermomistress – for the simple instructions, and the delicious meal!

The lamb was great but my sauce was sooo bland. I would make again but adjust the sauce. It was great having the whole meal done at the same time!
